52 Weeks of Color: #13 Emerald
I was pretty excited about this week’s emerald color challenge. I am a May baby, therefore emerald is my birthstone. Plus, being a redhead, emerald is definitely a good friend of mine. However, my inventory didn’t have much emerald in it. I had to really scour my inventory to find some good emerald pieces, but I also lucked into a fantastic new item that I’m so excited to share with you.
52 Weeks of Color: #7 Cerise
I wasn’t too thrilled about cerise this week. For some reason, I thought it would be much easier than it was. But in reality, I didn’t have as much cerise, or even pink, in my inventory as I thought. Sadness. I have been determined to use as much of my inventory as I can without buying too much (because my inventory is way, way, way too packed with unworn purchases and review copies), so I dug around in it and made do with what I could find. Oh, and I threw in some pinkish decor, too, because I felt like it. Not quite cerise, but a suitable backdrop for this look, nonetheless.
52 Weeks of Color: #1 Grey
Luna Jubilee proposed a 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, and I think this might be a good goal for me. I have been a super lazy blogger because I spend so much time building and doing other things, so I am really going to try to stick to this. The first week is grey, and I had plenty of grey in my inventory to get me started.
Where Is My Mind?
I thought I’d blog for a change, so I threw together a simple casual look with some old and new items from my inventory. I guess I’m not much of a fashionista, especially lately, but I seem to prefer practical, comfy looks in my SL. I’m a simple girl, and that’s okay with me.
Just a Little Touch of Fate
I started playing around with a few newer releases over the weekend, and this outfit was the end result. I love the soft color palette and the fun, flirty ruffles. This is a look that really makes me feel like girl, and that is quite alright with me.
I’m in the Middle of Your Picture
I’m a simple girl in both RL and SL, but I really love nice things. And statement jewelry is fun, but nothing beats a classic strand of pearls. That is, unless it’s a strand of pearls that is not only beautiful, but also helpful in creating unique photos. And as far as that goes, these pearls are a major win.
Quarter Tones to Ten
I have been really into summery looks lately, so I thought I’d share another one with you. This one was inspired by these fantastic new shorts, and I just couldn’t wait to build an outfit around them. Enjoy!
A Few Good Swimsuits
My swimsuit folder has been bulging lately with some awesome new releases, so I thought I’d blog a few of them. It was pretty fun scouring my inventory for accessories to go with these swimsuits, and I hope you enjoy what I found.
We Are Proudly Inappropriate
There’s nothing quite like a fun evening with friends to make everything better. It had been ages since I just let loose and had some fun in SL, and I’ll admit… we had a blast! Clem tasked me with keeping her out of trouble (which is not as easy as you might think!), so I recruited some help from Aldwyn, and the whole situation made for a great excuse to get together for a fun photoshoot featuring the awesome work of Gauge Laville, the mastermind behind + blacklisted +. We cussed and sang and rocked out to 80′s tunes and laughed until we cried. Yes, we were highly inappropriate, and proud of it!
Rustic
I’ve had these pics for several days now and have been a very bad blogger by neglecting to post them. In case you haven’t heard, I’m also blogging over at Second Style twice a week, but don’t expect me to let this blog go. Nuh uh. I will continue to bring you my own personal sense of style here for as long as I’m in SL! *hugs*
Review: [KA] SKINS BARDOT-Nora
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Kira Ahn’s gorgeous skins. I have consistently found that [KA] SKINS give my avatar a unique look that sets me apart from other avatars, while giving me a distinctive sense of familiarity. And right now, her gorgeous BARDOT-Vivienne is my go-to “ME” skin. But I couldn’t resist trying her amazing new BARDOT-Nora, which I have been lusting after since I saw a yummy teaser a few weeks ago. I’m always eager to try skins with freckles, and this one definitely hits the nail on the head.
Struggling to Keep Warm
This look came about entirely by accident, but it’s very much a reflection of something I might wear to take my dogs for a walk these days. You see… it’s so unbearably cold here in my little corner of the world… much colder than any winter I can ever remember having this far south. And I’ll wear just about anything and everything to keep warm, even if it means I kind of look like a homeless person. At least I’m warm and toasty underneath! I’ll admit that there are very few “typically Alabamian” things about me, but whining about how cold it is right now is DEFINITELY one of them.
Nordic
Typical frigid Winter weather has finally reached my little spot in the world, so I’m in full-scale Winter mode now. I absolutely love warm and cozy pieces, especially ones with which you can easily layer, and this gorgeous sweater is absolutely perfect for me.
Cajun Connection
Something about this crawfish tee just called out to me. It summoned memories of one of my favorite places to visit: New Orleans. So I knew I had to get it asap and, of course, blog it! I decided to go the unconventional route and style it a bit differently, but I think it works!
An Addiction to Leggings
You could definitely say that I have a fetish for leggings. I literally squealed when Zaara Kohime spilled some news that she was planning to release some very versatile leggings, and I just could not wait until she finally released them! And now that I finally have them, I must admit that I’m in awe, and I just had to build an outfit around my favorite pair.
