52 Weeks of Color: #5 Sepia
I’m waaaay behind on getting my sepia post up (from my usual timeline, anyway), and I’ll admit that it wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped. What exactly IS sepia? The Wiki says it’s a dark brown-grey color, named after the rich brown pigment derived from the ink sac of the common cuttlefish Sepia. So I pretty much stuck with that definition of sepia and came up with a well-rounded mixture of rich browns. Sepia wasn’t easy at all, but I tried. So don’t give me crap about it being brown, k?

No Strings Attached
-Veschi- just recently put out a ton of new releases, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on oodles and oodles of wonderful goodies. This awesome No Strings Attached jacket is my favorite item of the bunch, but the other items are so fantastic that I plan to slowly incorporate the rest of them into future daily looks. This outfit turned out to be a sort of color mish-mash, but I think the look turned out kinda cute and classy.

Stacie’s Strength
It has been my experience that we, as fashion bloggers, are truly blessed with wonderful, caring, talented, and extremely generous designers. Honestly, without the designers and the amazing things they do for the fashion community, I wouldn’t have much to talk about in this silly little blog of mine. So, it should come as no surprise that I, or we, might become accustomed to the status quo. Spoiled, if you will. Yet, there are also times when we’re totally blown away, caught off our guards, truly surprised by something. And this is one of those times for me.
Ashoka Eales, of Phoenix Rising, surprised me with this amazing new set of outfits named Stacie’s Strength, in my honor. Simply put, I am surprised, shocked, and blown away. And to be honest, I’m so emotional right now that I’m struggling to write this blog post. So please bear with me, because this topic touches very close to home for me. Those of you who know me on a close, personal basis probably know why Ashoka might see something in me that most people don’t. And to those of you who don’t really have a clue what I’m talking about, I apologize for being so vague. However, I’d never want to be accused of flaunting my own disadvantage, so I’ll just leave it at that and show you the amazingly versatile stylings of Stacie’s Strength instead.

Thank you, caLLie cLine!
How do I even begin to say thanks for the unimaginable generosity of the one-and-only Callie Cline? In a fashion community filled with endless criticism and a general lack of appreciation (you KNOW we can be a bunch of brats), Callie saw a need for a serious reality check. So, she organized Blogger Appreciation Day, a day in which content creators could show some appreciation for the bloggers who take the time to feature their products.
But, then Callie decided that just one day of appreciation wasn’t enough. So, she expanded Blogger Appreciation Day to Blogger Appreciation WEEK, formed a fashion blogger group inworld, and thus began the most amazing display of generosity I have ever been lucky enough to receive!

Four Seasons Challenge
A couple of days ago, Cajsa Lilliehook, esteemed SL fashionista and photographer, issued a Four Seasons Challenge to the masses. I thought this was a terrific idea for a challenge, so I quickly jumped on the bandwagon and started assembling an outfit for each season using one item in common: the adorable Roxy Bermuda Shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS]. I thought it would be really cool and challenging to try to use a pair of shorts in all four seasons, but this task was a bit more difficult than I expected. Rainy Days Always Get Me Down
I was just playing around in SL, putting looks together and such, and I came up with this silly bikini, rain boot, umbrella combo. I thought it would be perfect for a mini-photoshoot in Rainy Town, although, I have no idea why I would be standing around on a busy street in a bikini and rain boots. Oh well…such is the beauty of SL. Sometimes reality totally evades us, and that’s completely okay.
