I decorated this space for entry in the SL House & Garden Photo Contest, so I thought I’d post a little minisode with full details on my blog.  The theme of the contest was “Go Crazy with Color,” and my entry is not a winner by any means, but it was fun nonetheless.  (You can view all of the colorfully eye-popping contest entries here.)  A big thank you to Jennaa Loire for all she does for the grid in the name of house and garden, especially for her work with the fantastic SL House & Garden group in-world.  She is truly amazing, and if you love home decorating, join the group, and send her a little thank you for all her hard work.  She really deserves it!

So I guess you could say I’m a bit addicted to interior decorating in SL.  Once I get an idea in my head, I have to see it through to fruition.  And that’s exactly what happened when I found this awesome bed.  I got an idea and had to see it realized.  And THEN I had to decorate an entire skybox around it.  I really loved the way this skybox turned out, so I might live in it for a while.  I hope you enjoy the fruits of my addiction.

I got bit by the decorating bug again, so I thought I’d try my hand at decorating this awesome beach house.  I used a few items from former 50L Friday and Project Themeory events, and I’m really glad I picked them up.  Just a tip: if you see home decor items that will only be available for a limited amount of time through an in-world event, you should go ahead and pick them up just in case you might want to use them in the future.  I’m sorry if I frustrate you by using items that are no longer available, but there is always the chance that you have them and completely forgot about them.

Something I really enjoy outside of fashion blogging in SL is decorating various houses and skyboxes lingering in my inventory.  I was home sick from work today, so I thought I’d do something a bit therapeutic and put my energy into decorating this awesome new gift skybox from **DP**yumyum.  It was a blast, and I’m pleased with the outcome.  I thought I’d share it all with you here, so there are tons of pics and full details after the cut.  Enjoy!

Hello.  My name is Stacie Pryor, and I’m addicted to SL home furnishings.  I have a bad habit of inspecting random knick knacks in different shops then TPing around the grid and snagging up pieces here and there until my pockets are empty and my inventory is full.  It’s a HORRIBLE habit, but at least it gives me an excuse to put together a cute picture with some of my new goodies.  Or is that just me rationalizing my own addiction?  Hmm… maybe I’ll think on that one later.

Spring has come early at :[MudHoney]: Designs, and the new Spring Gazebo is absolutely adorable.  I am so grateful for designers who DON’T go overboard on the lovey dovey Valentine’s Day items and instead bring us great items for spring that can be enjoyed throughout the year.  And you’ll find that this set includes so many versatile pieces that can be moved around to suit your preferences, making the Spring Gazebo definitely worthy of another look.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Kira Ahn’s gorgeous skins.  I have consistently found that [KA] SKINS give my avatar a unique look that sets me apart from other avatars, while giving me a distinctive sense of familiarity.  And right now, her gorgeous BARDOT-Vivienne is my go-to “ME” skin.  But I couldn’t resist trying her amazing new BARDOT-Nora, which I have been lusting after since I saw a yummy teaser a few weeks ago.  I’m always eager to try skins with freckles, and this one definitely hits the nail on the head.

Getting dressed and undressed in SL isn’t quite the same as in RL.  In fact, it’s much different.  In SL, I can quickly move from fully dressed to fully undressed to halfway dressed in a number of different pieces that don’t even match.  And I can do it all in a matter of seconds while standing in my front yard and manage NOT to get the cops called on me.  But the same is not true at all in RL.  And although I don’t exactly NEED a discreet place to change in SL, I definitely welcome the privacy, and this awesome new Glam Dressingroom from :[MudHoney]: Designs appeals to me in so many ways.
