Review: [KA] SKINS BARDOT-Nora
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Kira Ahn’s gorgeous skins. I have consistently found that [KA] SKINS give my avatar a unique look that sets me apart from other avatars, while giving me a distinctive sense of familiarity. And right now, her gorgeous BARDOT-Vivienne is my go-to “ME” skin. But I couldn’t resist trying her amazing new BARDOT-Nora, which I have been lusting after since I saw a yummy teaser a few weeks ago. I’m always eager to try skins with freckles, and this one definitely hits the nail on the head.

Formal Feature: (Musashi-Do)
Ever since Shiryu Musashi came back to the grid and started releasing new designs under his label, Musashi-Do, I have been captivated by his talent. His textures are truly exceptional, and his eye for style is amazing. And when I saw that he would be releasing this gorgeous Brocade Princess gown, I knew it would find its way to this blog sooner or later. Typical frigid Winter weather has finally reached my little spot in the world, so I’m in full-scale Winter mode now. I absolutely love warm and cozy pieces, especially ones with which you can easily layer, and this gorgeous sweater is absolutely perfect for me.

Skin Addict: Part One
I really don’t think it’s any secret that I love buying new skins. And I’ll confess that lately I have been extremely bad about grabbing up new skin after new skin (although I’m sure the skin makers love me for it). So I thought I’d start a new mini-series dedicated to my newest skin finds, which I hope will be helpful in giving a variety of beautiful skins their due airtime. Unfortunately, I don’t really have enough time to do a fullscale review post for each new skin. However, I won’t be recommending any skins with seams or obvious flaws, and I highly recommend you try the demos anyway, so you can use your own judgment.

Purple Is My Color This Season
This look started with a very pretty skirt from (MNK*Shop), which was a group gift. I was so taken with the skirt that I tried it on in the store (yes, I’m guilty of this, lol), and I loved it so much that I bought the fatpack. So, the skirt featured in this look is actually from the fatpack, and is not the group gift skirt, and it just goes to show you that sometimes freebies DO turn into viable sales.

I’m trying to do a better job of mixing and matching new releases with older items already available in my inventory. I think sometimes we get so overwhelmed by new releases that we tend to overlook some really high quality items that we’ve had for awhile. At least I know this is true in my case. Feature: *elymode* lounging sets
I absolutely love casual loungewear in SL. Sometimes I just don’t feel like dressing up. Either I’m sick in RL, or maybe an outfit just isn’t coming together the way I pictured it, so having something comfortable and easy to mix-and-match really makes those days easier for me. Plus, nothing beats a PJ party with some close girlfriends, and just having something stylish and basic in your inventory that you can throw on at a moment’s notice makes impromptu PJ parties so easy. Truly, the new lounging sets from *elymode* are very well-made and are necessary staples in your inventory.

Feature: + blacklisted + Lingerie
I’m always excited to see new brands sprouting up in SL, especially when they offer quality menswear, as I’ve experienced how difficult it can be to dress a male avatar well (they just don’t have as much available to them as the ladies do). It’s even better when the designer is a friend of mine; I love to see creative juices flowing in my circle of friends. And it gets even BETTER when the new brand ventures into female designs so soon. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised to see Gauge Laville of + blacklisted + expand his designs to include a sexy new line of lingerie. If he had an evil plan to get the ladies in their underwear, it most certainly worked on me.
