Something Earthy
I love good, down to earth color palettes. Nothing feels more natural to me than a walk through the thick woods in an outfit so full of rich, neutral tones and stylish simplicity. It’s almost like starting over…getting back to basics. I think we could all used a little something earthy.

The Simple Life

Floral Fusion
So, last Saturday we had two tornados around my house. Then, on Sunday, it SNOWED! Now, a week later, the weather man is telling me to expect temperatures in the 80s. WTF?!?!?! I’m confused. But, if nice weather is on the horizon, I’LL TAKE IT! And, if spring has finally sprung, I think I need some COLOR up in here!

Can’t Get Enough
I have always been a huge fan of Maitreya. To be honest, I have over 50 pairs of Maitreya shoes in my inventory … insane, right? Anyway, I just can’t keep away from their new releases. And I have been hearing both good and bad mumbles about the new sculpty top and belt, so I wanted to try it out for myself to determine my own verdict. Sometimes it’s much better to come to your own conclusions rather than trusting popular opinion. Anyway, here’s my report…
Same Damned Thing Challenge
Here’s a question: what would happen if we all wore the SAME DAMNED THING? There has been a constant buzz in Plurk and on the feeds surrounding the frustration that bloggers experience when they feel they have lost control over their own blogs and fashion choices. “I’m so sick of seeing those boots on the feeds”…blah blah blah… The fact is that, although we may be wearing the same items or items which appear to be similar, don’t we all wear them differently? Isn’t what we choose to wear an expression of our individuality and unique personalities, and don’t we retain the right to wear whatever we want?

Bare Rose Challenge: Take 1
Of course, by now you all know about the ROSEBUD! Bare Rose Appreciation Challenge issued by Winter Jefferson. As usual, I am a little behind the curve on this one, but I thought I’d give it a shot anyway. Better late than never, right? So, here’s a cute and simple B@R mashup that I hope is worthy enough to be considered an acceptable stab at the challenge.
