- sheek - a misspelling of chic, as in fashionable or stylish. If you spell chic this way, you most likely have no clue what chic means... Pretty much sums it up! I blog what I like, and I like what I blog. Feel free to let me know if you like what you see. And thanks for checking out my blog!

Community: Two Three Six Five
I thought I’d do something different from my ordinary fashion/home decor posts by highlighting an amazing community project that I think is pretty special. Hopefully you have already heard of the Two Three Six Five blog project run by Trace Osterham, but in case you haven’t, I thought I’d post a bit of information about it here in hopes that you might participate!
Two Three Six Five is a “glimpse into the lives of 365 different Second Life™ residents around the world throughout the course of a year, and a literary model of the way their virtual and physical selves interact.” The blog depends on one volunteer author per day who shares 365 words or less about any topic. Two Three Six Five was inspired by the RL project, the3six5, and the original blog even acknowledges the SL version here. How cool is that???
You don’t have to share anything especially private or special or spectacular, and you don’t have to be a SLebrity or receive any sort of special invitation to contribute. Read the guidelines, sign up, and write! It’s really that easy. I posted my entry back in April, and if I can do it, you certainly can.
Do yourself a favor and check out the blog. Even if you don’t contribute a post, link it to your blog, add it to your feed reader, keep up with the daily posts, and spread the word. Below are several entries that really spoke to me, but, truly, every post on Two Three Six Five is special. So, check it out!
The Anti-Crimson Tide
So I assembled this look with bits and pieces of things I absolutely love, and I really adored the finished product. That is, until I realized that I look like something out of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Now I know you’re not all from Alabama or from the U.S. for that matter, but most people know that I’m VERY anti-Crimson Tide. A quick trip to Hibbett Sporting Goods for sneakers a few days ago REALLY reinforced that for me. So yeah, this look is covered in Paul “Bear” Bryant, but let’s just ignore that, okay?
Help Haiti: AC Inure Pumps
Aphrodite Outlander, of Aphrodite Creations, is such a dear friend of mine, and I have always admired her talent. Knowing how sweet she is, I was not one bit surprised that she immediately started looking for ways to help the relief efforts in Haiti the very minute she could log into SL. This same giving spirit is the very epitome of her character, and of course I wanted to support that giving spirit as much as I could. She’s offering up these amazing silver Inure pumps, which come with three different heel options, for only L$299. And 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit the Red Cross. So please visit the Red Cross Relief for Haiti HQ at Scribble and do what you can to help the cause. The HQ building contains a wide variety of items you can snag to help benefit the cause, and I urge you to be as generous as financially possible because every little bit helps. *hugs*
At Last
There are few days in SL which will ever be exciting as this one. After idolizing my hair king for what seems like ages, Truth Hawks has seen fit to bless me with my own hairstyle. And maybe to him my name is just another name among the thousands. But for me, this means so much more, and I am beyond elated and flattered to finally have the official >TRUTH< Stacie hairstyle. Simply put, this hairstyle is sassy and a little messy and really fits me and my personality like a glove. I think it’s safe to say that I couldn’t be any more in love with it. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Truth.

Fashion SLurls Directory Update
Cajsa Lilliehook spear-headed a fantastic idea to maintain one central directory of Fashion SLurls for the greater good of the fashion community, and she has done an amazing job with its upkeep. Recently, she has gotten very busy and has not been able to spend the same amount of time keeping the directory updated. I was quite flattered when she contacted me, expressing the desire to find someone willing to maintain the directory, keeping it the open, user-friendly and free community resource it has always been. And, of course, I’m happy to help!
Remember, just post a comment to add your store to the directory. If you would like to help with the work of building mini-directories of animations, skins, etc., please volunteer here.
As always, please feel free to contact me at staciepryor@gmail.com with any questions!
Finding Joy in SL
As soon as Kellie Iwish posted a picture of her new Joy dresses in Plurk, I knew I needed one. I am a serious fan of Kellie’s, and her amazing store (Elate!) has been a favorite of mine for ages. Honestly, Kellie is super talented, and her new Joy dresses are just adorable. Even better, I was lucky enough to share a pleasant conversation with her a few nights ago, and I can tell you that she’s absolutely sweet and kind, too, giving me even more incentive to send my lindens her way.
Why I Keep Coming Back
This post was really supposed to be a silly one, as you can probably glean from the picture. But sometimes thoughts take over, and words that need to be spoken (or typed) have their way of rising to the surface. Since I’d rather embrace these opportunities than ignore them completely, this silly post has evolved into something so much more significant (to me, at least). Actually, I have been meaning to post something like this for a long time, but the words never came together exactly as I wanted. I’m hoping that I got it right this time.
Tutorial: Inventory Management
Truth be told, it is very likely that one of the biggest obstacles to a healthy, happy SL is a bloated and unorganized inventory. Yep, that’s right…YOUR INVENTORY! You can always escape your ex, but you can NEVER escape your inventory! You know you’ve neglected it. You know you play the guessing game when you’re looking for something but have no idea where it is. Wait…why don’t you know where it is? I mean…shouldn’t YOU, of all people, know where something is in your inventory?
One of my plurk friends was looking for a little bit of help in the inventory department, and I found out that there’s an interest in this sort of thing. So, I offered to post a blog showing how I do it. I’m not sure if it will be helpful or not; I’m certainly no expert, and my methods could be viewed as weird. Whatever. I’m not claiming to be the authority on inventory management. I’m merely offering a basic guide, if you’re interested.
