Check-Swing

I grew up playing sports, so the term check-swing has an immediate sports connotation for me.  However, it’s also the name of this gorgeous coat I picked up at *COCO*.  I know I’ve been blogging *COCO* quite a bit lately, but the new releases at *COCO* are spot-on, and I love them.  And you know what?  I’m getting tired of hearing all of the rants about fashion bloggers consistently wearing items from the “big” stores.  Hey!  Guess what?  They’re “big” stores because they make amazing items like these.  And if I could make anything in SL that exhibited a mere fraction of the quality of items I’m seeing at *COCO*, AOHARU, etc., then I’d certainly want people to buy them and wear them.  And I hardly think it’s appropriate to discredit talented creators just because their shops are well-known and/or well-blogged.  /end rant

Eponymous Humility

I am extremely humbled and honored that people even read this silly blog of mine.  And when someone is so gracious to name one of their creations after me, it truly touches me.  Seriously, I was sitting around chatting with my friend, Bronson, a few days ago, complaining that I had been looking all morning for the perfect necklace for this outfit, which was complicated by the fact that I needed one that attached to the spine, and hours later this gorgeous Stacie’s Necklace from Dark Mouse falls into my lap.  Mouse Mimistrobell of Dark Mouse is extremely kind and generous, and I’m so flattered that she named this gorgeous necklace after me.  Thank you, Mouse!

Feel Good

I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus lately, more RL stuff going on, but I was happy I got a holiday off from work today.  So I thought I’d blog a little bit, but I seem to have lost my mojo.  It took me virtually all day to put together one outfit, and here it is.  Actually, it’s kinda funny how the look I was going for evolved into this one, but I like the way it flows, and it makes me feel good.

An Addiction to Leggings

You could definitely say that I have a fetish for leggings.  I literally squealed when Zaara Kohime spilled some news that she was planning to release some very versatile leggings, and I just could not wait until she finally released them!  And now that I finally have them, I must admit that I’m in awe, and I just had to build an outfit around my favorite pair.

Tiffany

I’m not really into system skirts.  It usually takes me forever to adjust my shape to make them work, and I’m just overall not a fan of them.  But Antonia Marat just released this new Tiffany skirt at /artilleri/, and I bought the fat pack on a whim.  Sometimes you just know when it will work and when it won’t.  And I’m so happy that this system skirt is the exception!

Finding Joy in SL

As soon as Kellie Iwish posted a picture of her new Joy dresses in Plurk, I knew I needed one.  I am a serious fan of Kellie’s, and her amazing store (Elate!) has been a favorite of mine for ages.  Honestly, Kellie is super talented, and her new Joy dresses are just adorable.  Even better, I was lucky enough to share a pleasant conversation with her a few nights ago, and I can tell you that she’s absolutely sweet and kind, too, giving me even more incentive to send my lindens her way.

Skin/Shape Expo Feature: -Belleza- Jesse

After all these skin posts I have done throughout the week, I think it’s finally time that I picked a favorite.  So, here it is: the lovely -Belleza- Jesse skin, which is completely stunning.  I’ll admit that I’m wearing the -Belleza-  Jesse group gift skin in these photos, primarily because I’m holding out to buy a fatpack in a lighter skin tone.  So not only does this post serve to show you just how beautiful Jesse is, but it’s also an earnest plea to Tricky Boucher for Jesse in lighter skin tones.  PRETTY PLEASE!

Purple Is My Color This Season

This look started with a very pretty skirt from (MNK*Shop), which was a group gift.  I was so taken with the skirt that I tried it on in the store (yes, I’m guilty of this, lol), and I loved it so much that I bought the fatpack.  So, the skirt featured in this look is actually from the fatpack, and is not the group gift skirt, and it just goes to show you that sometimes freebies DO turn into viable sales.
