I’ve been walking around in various forms of this outfit for a few days now, so I figured I might as well blog it. Any outfit that can convince me to wear it for more than a day has to have a bit of merit, right? I mean, it isn’t total laziness that’s keeping me from changing clothes, I swear.
I think you know my love of all things [Whippet & Buck], so obviously I couldn’t manage NOT to pick up the new Iris Ribbons & Ruffles Dress. This gorgeous yellow hue called out to me, so, naturally, I caved. Surprise, surprise. The dress is extremely well done, with gorgeous ruffles and shading and a sexy, revealing bodice. I didn’t care for the black belt, so I edited the skirt to hide it and added a brown belt from *COCO* instead. Then I added this awesome FrontKnotShirt from AOHARU, which sits very nicely on top of the wide belt.
For shoes, I chose these awesome Huntress Boots from >TRUTH<, which echo the gorgeous deep brown leather of the belt. Then, I decided to add a splash of color pop to the look by wearing this amazing scarf from *League*. I also chose my adorable bumblebee ring from Paper Couture, which adds the perfect amount of cuteness to the look. The hair is the lovely Carrie ponytail from fri.day, and, of course, the skin is my lovely []::Tuli::[] Eva, which I can’t manage to take off.
(TIP: If you’d like to replicate this look, attach the belt to the left pec, because the skirt attaches to the right pec. Attaching the belt to the left pec insures that the skirt and belt move TOGETHER, keeping the belt from entering your body during natural AO movement. And that makes this outfit VERY WEARABLE, which is something I love about it. I really wish more designers would offer skirts and belts attaching to both pecs. /me sighs)
