Finding Joy in SL

As soon as Kellie Iwish posted a picture of her new Joy dresses in Plurk, I knew I needed one.  I am a serious fan of Kellie’s, and her amazing store (Elate!) has been a favorite of mine for ages.  Honestly, Kellie is super talented, and her new Joy dresses are just adorable.  Even better, I was lucky enough to share a pleasant conversation with her a few nights ago, and I can tell you that she’s absolutely sweet and kind, too, giving me even more incentive to send my lindens her way.

The new Joy dress from (Elate!) is completely adorable, and I couldn’t resist this gorgeous cream color, which sports beautiful chocolate detailing around the bodice.  I paired it with this amazing hooded bolero jacket from Sweetest Goodbye, which is cool, trendy, and beautifully made.  And it complements the dress so well.  I layered some skinny jeans from Maitreya underneath the dress for a bit of a covered up look and then added these adorable Pomski boots from *Kookie*, which really pulled on my heartstrings.

For accessories, I kept it a bit simple, adding only a necklace and bracelet.  I picked up this adorable necklace at the jewelry fair.  [fairy tail] is a new-to-me jewelry store, and this cute String Ribbon Wood necklace is just perfect.  Both the ribbon and the wood texture-change separately, giving you so many options.  And the wood Big Bangle from Aphrodite Creations added just the perfect touch to my wrist.  This Candice hairstyle is a new release from >TRUTH<, and since I’m always a sucker for braids, I really love it.

And now for some other crap: I think it’s important to be in SL for a reason.  Obviously I find lots of joy in exploring SL fashion and blogging, and there are tons of other things I do in SL for fun.  And I’m very blessed with the best friends anyone could ever have.  So it really gets me down when I see some people who have nothing better to do than bring others down.  If your SL is so miserable, maybe you should leave rather than ruining it for everyone else.  And that’s my PSA for today; take it or leave it, I really don’t care.  But please, leave your asshole comments on some other blog, because they are not welcome here.
