Mix the Old with the New

I’m trying to do a better job of mixing and matching new releases with older items already available in my inventory.  I think sometimes we get so overwhelmed by new releases that we tend to overlook some really high quality items that we’ve had for awhile.  At least I know this is true in my case.  So, today I’ve decided to showcase a few things old and a few things new.

I got these fantastic new Equinox Jeans at *Fishy Strawberry*, and I really love how realistic they are.  They’re extremely slimming (I haven’t changed my shape at all here) with gorgeous shading and texturing, making my legs look so long and thin.  I paired it with this older top from *MichaMi, the Fearne top in coffee, which comes with an unique belt wrapped high around the waist.  The texturing of this top is incredible, with lovely wrinkles and shading, sporting an interesting fit which is subtly sexy.  I paired the top and jeans with brown Avanti Flats from Celestial Studios, which provide a nice, simple touch to the feet.

For accessories, I chose some of my favorite new jewelry: the wood gold Karmuka necklace and amber Pallav bracelets from Zaara added a stunning touch to the look.  Zaara’s new Statement Jewelry is absolutely incredible, with amazing details and gorgeous textures, adding overwhelming beauty to any look.  These two pieces blended perfectly with the brown and gold undertones of the look, enhancing them beautifully.  For a final touch, I added the goldenrod SACK bag from [LeLutka], which is not one of this season’s releases but still works very well with various looks throughout the year.  The lovely golden hue complements the jewelry perfectly, adding a very nice touch to the look as a whole.
