It’s pretty rare that I put together an outfit and say to myself, “Damn, I look cute!”, but I was hard-pressed to take this one off. I’m really addicted to these roller skates, and I even managed to assemble my own HUD, so I can do LOTS of tricks! More info on that after the cut…
But first, I’ll tell you a little about the outfit. I found this adorable tank at ~momo~, and it suits my personality so well that I had to get it. I decided to layer it a bit, so I bought the unisex version of the Essential T from *BOOM* and wore the sheer shirt and pants layers under the jacket layer tank. Then I added these fantastic denim shorts from ::EmJay::, which are one of my favorites.
I couldn’t resist pairing the Pixel Mode Roxy Rollers with this look, so I did, using the touch menu to recolor the stopper, wheels, and laces. And these adorable striped socks from Action really pulled the look together. For accessories, I added one of my favorite bangle sets from Fresh Baked Goods, and the adorable rose RetroPhones from FNKY!.
I wanted to really be able to utilize the skates and have a little bit of fun with them, so I tracked down a fantastic tutorial by Melanie Kidd, which helped me build my own skate HUD. Using Melanie’s instructions, I bought the Skoopf skates (a newer 2008 version), pulled the 30+ animations out of the right skate, and put them in my own makeshift HUD. And VOILA! Instant skate HUD! Now I can do an assortment of jumps and tricks, and I’m just the cutest thing on 8 wheels! Thanks, Melanie!
