Review: NewEden Designs

I love seeing the work of new designers in SL, and when I was offered the opportunity to review the work of Eiden Ember at NewEden Designs, I jumped at the chance.  Having been seriously designing only around 6 weeks, Eiden is a relatively new designer in SL.  And her achievements so far are outstanding!

This first gown is the Kina Roses Gown in Black.  I REALLY love this gown, with its gorgeous rose details and big, bold style.  The prim roses around the waist are simply irresistable, and the long flowey, layered skirt is absolutely beautiful.  The gown came with a sheer cropped jacket, which was very lovely, but I preferred the simplicity of the look without it.  The skirt (w/ roses) was a little bit large at first, but it was surprisingly EASY to resize and didn’t distort the fit of the roses at all.  With such a bold gown, accessories were kept to a simple minimum, adding only the Swallowtail Gloomy Flower Necklace, the Swallowtail Volume Bracelet in black, and this elegant -DeLa*- 25ans Rose Clutch.  What a gorgeous look!

Here we have the Joelle Gown in White from NewEden Designs, and it is such a stunner!  I absolutely LOVE the sexy, yet classy fit of this gown, and the gorgeous sheen of the texture really blows me away.  The gown comes with a lovely skirt train, and consists of a few skirt layers as well as a system skirt, which is really fantastic.  I love so few system skirts, but this one really won me over…great job, Eiden!  The textures used in the gown are incredibly detailed and really create a look full of character and depth.  For accessories, I kept it simple again, adding only the Agate necklace and earrings from Paper Couture, which really enhance the purple hues in the gown.  And the white orchid hair flower from /artilleri/provided the perfect finishing touch.

Last but not least, this adorable Lilac Flapper from NewEden Designs is too cute for words.  With three skirt layers edged with lovely fringe, this dress very accurately represents the traditional flapper, adding a modern edge.  And the deep purple bodice sports a beautifully detailed texture and cute, narrow straps.  This is a very cute dress, especially for summer.  I added this lovely VolcanicGlass necklace from +SPICA+, the lovely Twiggy hairstyle from >TRUTH< (with color-changing headband), and this adorable freebie umbrella from embryo un jour.

NewEden Designs doesn’t have a HUGE range just yet, but Eiden hopes to begin extending the range to include more formalwear, shorter styles, and menswear.  Be sure to check out the NewEden Designs mainstore!
