Lately, I have really been missing my grandmother. She was my best friend in the world, and she died when I was 13 (almost 13 years ago). I miss her everyday, so I thought it would be nice to do an outfit for her today…something she would enjoy. Does anyone know what the teal ribbon means?
The Teal Ribbon represents Ovarian Cancer Awareness. My grandmother died after suffering from ovarian cancer for a few years. Since then, I have been an advocate of early diagnosis treatment programs and continued research toward finding a cure. The Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation is a great cause organized exclusively for charitable and scientific purposes. Anyway, on to today’s outfit …
This look started with the Cable Knit Cropped cardigan from []:: TULI ::[], which is simply amazing. I layered the cardigan over the teal Vint Vest from *Kookie*, which complements it very well. Since I wanted to wear these fantastic Gettin Low Shorts from *BOOM*, the Vint Vest from *Kookie* worked really well to cover the bit of bum that pokes out the top of the shorts. For shoes, I kept it simple with these gorgeous teal Mina Flats from >TRUTH<.
For accessories, I chose two knockout items. First, the Layered Flower Necklace from -+*AA*+- (Atelier AM) was PERFECT for this look. I absolutely love the gorgeous strands of pearls, and the flower brooch adds an extra bit of elegance. Also, this super trendy Black Leather Tote from .:StoRin:. is a great match to the look. I love the adorable details shown on this tote, and the fatpack of 3 totes was really afforable!
I’m in new skin glory, guys! I finally grabbed the Pin Up skins from :Curio:, and I love them! :Curio: skins are always soooo lovely, but this one really looks like me! YAY!
