Four Seasons Challenge

A couple of days ago, Cajsa Lilliehook, esteemed SL fashionista and photographer, issued a Four Seasons Challenge to the masses.  I thought this was a terrific idea for a challenge, so I quickly jumped on the bandwagon and started assembling an outfit for each season using one item in common:  the adorable Roxy Bermuda Shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS].  I thought it would be really cool and challenging to try to use a pair of shorts in all four seasons, but this task was a bit more difficult than I expected.  Details for all four looks are after the cut…

I started with my spring look: a simple look, yet bold in color and style.  Obviously, the look was built around my challenge item of choice, the golden orange Roxy Bermuda Shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS].  I chose this adorable floral top from **THE CLOSET**, with beautiful flower details that really enhance the shorts.  To bring out the white details in the top, I added these fantastic white Flat Gladiator Sandals from AOHARU WALK, a white resin chain and link necklace from [VG Republic], and the Blanche gold bracelet from -Muse-.  And this look wouldn’t have been complete without the quintessential springtime Breeze hairstyle from !lamb.

For summer, I decided to go with a true summer look for where I live…where it’s hot and less clothing is a necessity.  This is a simple look, with the shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS] providing the bulk of the look.  I added the orange/green Ready for Summer Bikini from Twosome and the red Eve Summer Sandals from SLink for a truly beach-ready look.  And the ETD Felicity hairstyle provides the perfect casual ‘do for the beach.

For fall, I tried to stick to a more traditional autumn color palette.  Again, we have the shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS].  I needed some brown, so I chose this awesome Jane Jacket from Skin Flicks, with the beige Border Cami from (MNK Shop) underneath for a little bit of layering.  Then, I piled on some amber and orange accessories with these fantastic socks from :: DUTCH TOUCH :: and the Knotty Beads Necklace from EarthStones.  To finish the look, I chose these great 3Way Engineer Boots from J’s and the lovely Aradia hairstyle from >TRUTH<.

Last but not least, the winter look is one of my favorites.  I started with the shorts from [PINK OUTFITTERS] for one final appearance, then I added this fantastic, rich emerald coat from [LeLutka] to warm up the look.  To layer, I chose this beautiful olive Valerie blouse from [LeeZu!] and these awesome ribbed beige leggings from DP**yumyum.  The brown Donna scarf from BareRose really pulls all of the various colors of this look together, and the amazing chocolate Kensington boots from -Tesla- really seal the deal.  For one final bit of sophistication, this lovely Delaney hairstyle from *DIVERSITY HAIR* really caps off the look.
