I love good, down to earth color palettes. Nothing feels more natural to me than a walk through the thick woods in an outfit so full of rich, neutral tones and stylish simplicity. It’s almost like starting over…getting back to basics. I think we could all used a little something earthy.
This outfit started with this amazing new Twiggy tanktop from *Kookie*. Embodying the sophisticated grace of the style icon, Twiggy, this tank really drew me in. I chose it in this “burnt” color combination because I thought the neutral simplicity of the tank really allowed the printed image to stand out. The wrinkles and shading are truly wonderful, and the adorable lace accent peeking out from under the top of the tank really make it a winner for me!
I paired the tank with this awesome short jacket from –DeLa*–. In brown, which is really more of an orange brown/golden color, it really blends well with the tank while still allowing the best features of the tank to pop. The sheen so evident in this jacket helps it stand out in a crowd, and I absolutely adore the fantastic button, pocket, and strap details, which really make it unique.
For pants, I chose these wonderful Jane “safari” type cargo pants from Skin Flicks. I have been looking for some great cargo capris for some time now, and these definitely fill the void. I thought beige would fit in nicely with this look, so I gave it a whirl, and I think it turned out really well. I paired the look with these (yet again!) fantastic Real Toe Tassele Wedge Sole Sandals from J’s. The orange brown is a perfect match to the jacket, and these sandals really up the style anty a bit.
I finished off the look with a few key accessories. First, instead of the belt that came with the pants (which was very nice but a little plain for this particular look), I decided to wear the amazing Coin Belt from Maitreya. This dark brown belt provides a nice contrast to the pants, and the coins enhance the color of the jacket and shoes, adding a great amount of detail to the look. To continue the coin theme, I added the Coin Necklace, also from Maitreya, which is adorable in its own right. To cap it all off, I thought these Double Hoop Earrings from [VG Republic] and Gothic Arch Wood Cuff from EarthStones would look nice. And, oh yeah! This is a new hairstyle from SLink! The Trinny hairstyle is a fantastic new updo with gorgeous braided accents added. I love it, and so will you!!! You’ll especially love the easy color-change and resize HUD options!
