I’m back with my second installation in the Ivalde Challenge. I wanted to take pieces of one outfit and change it up a bit to create a one-of-a-kind look with a unique spin. And one of my favorite designs by Neferia Abel is Viella, so I thought it would be perfect for this kind of challenge.
I have loved the –Ivalde Boutique– Viella dress since I first bought it a while back. Honestly, it’s probably one of the most unique pieces in my entire inventory. That being said, I wanted to mix it up a bit and take it’s unique features to new heights. So, I chose two pieces of the outfit and decided to pair them with something else. The skirt is truly eye-popping with one of the most beautiful textures I have ever seen. And the scarf echoes this gorgeous texture, gracing the neckline so beautifully and delicately.
To break up the textures of the scarf and the skirt, I decided to add a black top between the two. To be honest, it was more difficult than I thought it would be to find a top that would work, because most black tops provided too much of a contrast and looked awkward against the skirt. But, I finally found a top that blends really well with the skirt and actually adds a bit of depth to the look. This top is part of the Cove dress from Kira Ahn Designs, and I think it looks great when paired with the skirt. Especially the deep low-cut and highly detailed bodice, which add a bit of sex appeal.
As the look came together, I knew I needed to add something really special as far as shoes go. So, I pulled these awesome thigh-high leather boots out of my inventory. They are from J’s, and I love the fact that they lace up the sides and come with adorable little bows for added detail. The leather texture is very realistic, and I love the sexy cut of the boot. Looks great with this look!
I didn’t want to add much else, so I accessorized with a great pair of long gloves from *Sheer*, black tights from another –Ivalde– outfit, and the adorable Mary hairstyle from >TRUTH<.
