Happy Anti-Valentine’s Day

Happy Anti-Valentine's Day by Stacie Pryor.

Every year, regardless of whether I am in a relationship or not, I have ALWAYS hated Valentine’s Day.  I hate the commercialism of it all and am a big believer that we should show our love for others throughout the year, not just on a designated day.  Anyway, if you are enjoying your Valentine’s Day, I am really not trying to get you down.  And, trust me, I love pinks and reds as much as the next person, but I think I’ve seen enough of it this week.  So, here’s my best Anti-Valentine’s Day mashup of blue and purple…enjoy!

I found this awesome denim jacket at **en Svale**, and I couldn’t pass it up.  I love denim jackets, and this one is exquisite, with extreme attention paid to the details in the prim cuffs and collar.  I added this beautiful purple turtleneck sweater from *KUROTSUBAKI* underneath the denim jacket, which provides quite a contrast and a rich punch of color.  The cuffs and collar of the jacket wouldn’t allow me to add the cuffs and neck of the turtleneck sweater, so I instead opted to add this all-purpose scarf from BareRose.

I found this gorgeous skirt at **DP**yumyum, which remains one of my favorite stores on the grid.  I’m a big fan of its kawaii selection, and I have been coveting this skirt for a while.  So, I bought the fat pack and played around with the different colors until I found this beautiful blue skirt, and I couldn’t take it off.  I absolutely love the lovely stripes, glossy texture, and the sexy, flattering waistline, complete with adorable buttons.  This skirt really makes the outfit, and I just love it!  I know I tend to gravitate toward skirts alot, especially lately, but I just can’t get enough of the high quality ones out there, especially this one.

For boots, I really wanted a nice tall purple boot.  I already owned the purple billow boots from Maitreya, but the shade of purple wasn’t exactly right.  So, I treated myself to a new pair of gorgeous Kensington boots from - TESLA -.  The shade of purple was a perfect match to the turtleneck sweater, and you just can’t beat the beautiful details and fit of these boots.  I’m a huge fan of these and will definitely go back to get more colors soon!

For accessories, I added a few cute little heart accents for you hardcore Valentine’s Day fans out there.  ~flirt~ is having a sale at its Retrology location, so I headed over there and grabbed these adorable Hearts&Diamonds bracelets and earrings.  They are texture-changeable through a menu, with an assortment of beautiful semi-precious stones from which to choose.  I, of course, chose turquoise, and I think it adds quite a bit of punch to the wrists and ears.  Since, the jacket cuffs are set to the same location as these bracelets, I copied the bracelets and reset their locations to the hands, edited, and VOILA!  Easy peasy way to get around items with conflicting attachment points!

I also wanted to add that I’m wearing the new updo from Diversity Hair.  I love this hairstyle, and I’m now addicted to the red textures offered at Diversity.  I’ll definitely be back to grab more!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Or Anti-Valentine’s Day!  Whatever floats your boat!
