Challenge *Armoire Diversity*: Take 1

Take 1 by Stacie Pryor.

It’s Challenge time again!  And this time, Ana Lutetia has issued the Armoire Diversity Challenge, which is a challenge revolving around the idea that women avatars can look great in male clothing and vice versa.  This urged me to think outside of the box and explore some clothing stores that would normally be outside of my realm of shopping prior to this challenge.  So, here’s what I came up with!

I just realized, as I was posting the link to Ana’s blog above, that I chose the same top from Aitui that Ana is wearing in her picture.  DUH!  What the hell was I thinking?  At any rate, at least it is a different color.  (Don’t worry, I will be posting another post later today wearing something a little more original, lol!)

Anyway, I took a little trip to Aitui earlier this week to grab up some of the new girl goodies that were released, and I was reminded of the great selection of men’s clothing they have to offer.  So, it was sort of a no-brainer to go there to see if anything worked for me.  And, sure enough, I found this great knit button-up, with awesome buttons down the front and very well-made prim sleeve attachments.  Obviously, the prim sleeves needed to be resized a bit to account for the fact that my avatar’s arms are not as big as a male avatar’s would be.  But, I absolutely love this top, so I wanted to make it work.  And it has a sexy open look to it, as well, so instead of wearing a full undershirt, I decided to leave it open and wear only a sexy, lacy bra underneath (which is obviously a female item).  Ok, so I cheated a little bit, but whatever!  I think the point of this is to still look sexy and feminine wearing primarily male items, which I am.

For pants, I resorted to a store with a number of unisex items, Sweetest Goodbye.  They have some very obviously female items there, but a number of their items are a little more ambiguous.  So, I chose these great ripped-up, dirty jeans for this look.  And I think they look great!  They provide a very sexy fit and great overall character to the outfit.  I thought a fun, more masculine pair of shoes would be appropriate, so I chose these skully hightop Chucks from Akeyo, which are fully color-customizable, so I had lots of options.  I thought the yellow laces added a great touch, so there you have it!

To finish off the look, I needed a little something around the neck as well as a more masculine hairstyle.  So, I tracked down this awesome afghan stole on the male side of Aoharu, and then headed to Truth for a sexy, manly cut in my favorite shade of red.

So, there was my first stab at this challenge, and I think I look pretty damn sexy in male clothing!  Like I said before, I will be back later today with another great look using primarily male items, so be sure to check back!

Also, I still need help with the Dress Me Up Challenge, so go HERE and post a comment, please?
