So, by now you probably know that I love to wear chocolatey browns in Autumn. But, what you probably didn’t realize is that I also love oranges, especially gorgeous amber tones. Both oranges and browns (depending on the specific tones) usually mesh very well with red hair, and I think this look is a testament to that!
This look began with a skirt. I took a trip to **DP**yumyum to see what I could find, and I bumped into this gorgeous chocolate skirt. Appropriately named the Dramatic Skirt, it is a beautifully constructed piece with lovely layered tiers and adorable eyelet detailing. I love the way it hugs the body so tightly at the waist and flows down from there. Being such a gorgeous skirt, I definitely would have paid considerable moolah for it, but it was a complete steal at L$59. Now that’s a deal!
I had been eyeing this satin blouse for a while now, and I knew it would be a really nice complement to the skirt, so I grabbed it up. It has such a lovely texture, like an abstract piece of art made of splashes of orange and brown and silver. And I absolutely adore the design, with the frilly sleeves, elegant gathered neckpiece, and ruffles at the waist. Add to that the open slit on the chest and gorgeous revealing open back, and this blouse is a WINNER (and something I would love to own in RL)!
To complete the look, I added a few splashes of amber to the ensemble to really bring out the orange in the blouse. I found these great sandals at J’s, famous for its real-toe designs. These tassel wedge sandals are everything you expect from J’s, complete with adorable prim toes and beaded tassels and gorgeous lacing up the calves. And the beautiful orangey-brown tone really pops against the deep, dark chocolate in the skirt and enhance the orange in the top. To really make orange the focus of the outfit, I searched for some great amber jewelry, and I found exactly what I wanted at EarthStones. I picked up the knotted beads bracelet and dangle beads earrngs in amber and a beautiful tigers eye bracelet, which really bring the whole look together.
