One of the reasons I love SL so much is that it is a creative outlet for myself and so many others. I also have a deep appreciation for art in any form. So, seeing someone take a two-dimensional work of art and transform it into a three-dimensional masterpiece in SL really blows my mind!

I ran across a picture of this installation on Torley’s Flickr. He had taken a great shot of the Deserted installation, also featured in this post, and I just had to see it for myself. So, I headed over to Figment Island to experience the art up close and personal. Now, I don’t claim to know much about this exhibit, but here is my take on it. As I mentioned before, it seems to me that the Deserted Installation is the three-dimensional construction of a two-dimensional work of art. When I first entered the exhibit, I saw a beautiful charcoal rendering hanging on the wall. Then, when I turned around, I saw the exact same beautiful charcoal setting in 3-D. WOW! It is so stunning! And a perfect match for my adorable gray and black plaid shorts, so I just had to take some snappies!

This is a particularly simple outfit, but I love the pop of the fushcia sweater against the gray and black plaid shorts. Actually, this is one of my favorite sweaters hailing from Armidi Gisaci. It has an amazing texture, gorgeous color, and such an adorable fit. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I paired the sweater with these awesome shorts from a set available in Riddle. They sport the most perfect plaid pattern, with large rear and cargo pockets, and a sexy fit. Since the shorts came as a set with a bikini top, I am sure Riddle intended for the set to portray an edgier look. But I felt like adding a sweet touch, thus the addition of the sweater cuteness.

In my opinion, the real star of the outfit is the boots! I absolutely LOVE Biddle Boots! I own the tall boots in black snakeskin, so I thought I should try out the ankle boots to see how they meshed with this outfit. And WOW! What a stunner! These boots have an incredibly sexy steel heel and awesome strap detailing complete with a metal chain which make for an overall look full of the WOW-factor.

I didn’t want to overdo it on accessories, especially since the sweater’s neck prim wouldn’t allow for any of the necklaces I preferred. I decided to wear my Black Pearl Paani ring, because I knew it would be a snap to customize metals and gemstones to match the outfit. I also added an adorable flower hairclip from Swallowtail, which definitely adds to the whole cute factor. All in all, I think this outfit is a nice pairing of sweet and sexy!
See you all tomorrow!
