I seem to be having those days lately where nothing is black and white anymore. Everything seems to be a gray area… complicated… confusing… and all around chaos. So, in honor of the black and white and gray areas of all our lives, here’s a post of monochrome moodiness from me to you. Oh, and there’s a splash of color, too!
This dress is a lovely gem from Sweet Goodbye, a new love of mine. Obviously, my favorite part of this ensemble is the big black bow with the cute little music note! So super sweet!!!! But I also adore the short skirt, realistic bunching in the midsection, and sexy collar and neckline. The gray texture, with black stars and lace detailing around the edges, is a perfect demonstration of my momentary monochrome moodiness.
I wanted to add some adorable leggings, but I didn’t really have any in mind, when I suddenly remembered these cuties. These gray striped leggings with white paint splashes are part of the Made Girl outfit by Punch Drunk, and I absolutely love them. The stripes really lengthen the legs, and the splashes of white paint add a touch of edge. They are the perfect addition to the super sweet dress, and I simply love them!
Now on to my shoes, which are my new favorites! These are the Real Toe Ankle Belt Sandals from J’s, which come complete with prim toes and a toe ring. The tall platform base, sexy ankle strap, and super tall heel height make for the perfect sexy shoe! Add to that the adorable prim toes and toe ring, and we have a KILLER combo! These shoes are currently offered in only black and red, but I hope J’s will have new color offerings soon.
To round out the outfit, I knew I couldn’t avoid color alltogether. So, I opted for some jewelry in tones that accentuated the undertones of the dress. This dress sports beautiful aqua buttons and fuchsia detailing, so I pulled from that. I decided I definitely needed color change options in my jewelry, so I chose these adorable Sweet Shoppe Trio Bangles from Fresh Baked Goods, which allowed me to fully customize my look. Then I added my trusty black watch from Muse, my Lucky Day necklace from KessKreations, and these lovely dollarbie earrings from ~flirt~, which I picked up at the 2008 SL Jewelry Expo. Funny how this small splash of color really picked up my mood!
