Back to School: Girl Next Door

Happy weekend SL fashion lovers!  I don’t know about you guys, but I had a super rough week at work, so I am beyond happy to be relaxing at home scouring the grid for all things fashion.  Since August is back-to-school time in my neck of the woods, I thought I’d do a weekend series of super cute back to school looks SL style. : )

I thought I’d get us started with an adorable look for the girl next door.  When I started considering the different looks I could cover, I kept coming back to this look, and I really think it is the quintessential look for most teenage girls.  First, the hoodie is a lovely shade of banana, and I absolutely love the way it hugs the body in all the right places!  Plus, it comes with an option to wear the hoodie up or down, so you can choose the look that suits you best.  Upon first wearing the actual hoodie piece, I found that the placement was a bit off.  But a little adjustment goes a long way, and VOILA!  Such a cute look for back to school!

Since it is still so HOT outside, I decided to pair the short-sleeved hoodie with a summer-weather-friendly bluejean miniskirt, and I knew I had the perfect one to suit this look!  This precious jean mini is the perfect dark-washed denim, and the pockets are absolutely KILLER!!!  So…what about accessories?

Many thanks to Cerrie (hey Cerrie!) for turning me on to AC Cheeries, the cutest flats in SL!  These Cheeries, in Chic Boutique, added the perfect pop of color to my feetsies…I may never take them off!  Truthfully, how can you resist this unique texture?

I added multi-colored bangles and orange beaded earrings to provide the finishing touch.  All in all, I’d say this look is school-ready (barring any dress codes, lol)!  Check back tomorrow for another unique back-to-school look!
